Ivymount’s Professional Collaborative is pleased to bring back our annual Spring Lecture Series with workshops led by Ivymount staff. Our Professional Collaborative is dedicated to establishing community connections to help grow the education community more broadly, through events like this!
Lectures focus on: using mindfulness strategies, discussing sexual health with individuals with I/DD, and understanding and appreciating neurodiversity.
Understanding and Appreciating Neurodiversity
Wednesday, May 15
6-7 pm
onsite at Ivymount
We are hosting a round table discussion on how we view and support each other’s abilities, particularly those who have unique ways of thinking and behaving. We will provide a variety of ways for all participants to engage with each other and share their thoughts on neurodiversity, including their own lived experiences. In an open discussion, we will together share and explore ways we can support our children, students, and clients in living a quality and authentic life.
The session will be led by Jennie Kampf, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, Aspire Program Director, and Katie Quinn, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, Endeavors Program Director.
