Ivymount School and Programs is committed to the health and safety needs of the Ivymount School, Ivymount Outreach, and Maddux School student populations. We appreciate your support and flexibility as we’ve responded to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.

With careful thought, planning, and criteria, the Ivymount School and Programs team brought students back to campus using a hybrid model that included both in-person and remote instruction.

We will continue to respond to the evolving situation and provide the Ivymount community with regular updates by email and through our website.

We remain dedicated to our mission to serve people with autism and other developmental disabilities, to support their families, and to keep our community strong. We have embarked on an entirely new mode of instruction for our students – a distance learning model that will encourage both structure and flexibility during this unprecedented time. Our Distance Learning Plans will provide students of The Ivymount School and The Maddux School with staff-led instruction and support, and independent and age-appropriate self-paced work. We are pleased to offer e-services to our current Outreach Programs.

In this time of uncertainty, Ivymount will continue to provide frequent and transparent communications about how national, regional and local decisions impact our programs, and how we are adjusting to meet your needs. Program directors and teachers will reach out to families directly. Ivymount School and Programs will also send occasional updates by email.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued guidelines on how to prevent getting sick and steps you can take to slow the spread of COVID-19.
