PREVENTATIVE MEASURES WE CAN ALL TAKE

  • Stay at home if you or a family member has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or nausea.
  • Remain home for at least 24 hours after you no longer have a fever without the use of fever-reducing medication. (As per the CDC and Ivymount’s policy outlined in the Family Handbook in the Family Portal.)
  • Wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds or use a 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a flexed elbow or tissue. Immediately and securely dispose of the used tissue and wash your hands.

 Dear Families,

Governor Hogan had a press conference tonight. He reported that one of the three Montgomery Co. residents that tested positive for COVID-19 attended an event at The Village at Rockville, on Saturday Feb. 29. He requested that anyone who was at the event should call their health care provider. We are not aware of any Ivymount students or staff having attend this event.

While the Governor’s address was about the event, we did want to notify you since we have had some students volunteering at The Village since the event. Seven autism program and 3 MLN High school students worked there this week. There were no School to Work PHS students there this week. Our Directors are contacting all of the parents and staff who were there this week. We have no reason to believe they were exposed to the virus.
