Congratulations to Ivymount's MAP program, Dr. Steve Kane and Dr. Eve Muller on their work, "Using Film Study to Teach Perspective Taking in High School Students with Autism and Other Social Cognition Challenges." The article has been accepted to the Journal of Child and Adolescent Behavior and is based on the 2013 Film Study program at Ivymount.

“Through the use of film our students are able to learn how to analyze various components of social situations. It allows them to take the time to dissect the film, engage in discussions to meaningfully develop an understanding of the characters thoughts, actions and feelings, and how it relates  to their own personal experiences and social interactions,” commented Jennie Kampf, Director of MAP. “These learning opportunities help to support our mission as a school to ensure our students can successfully navigate the social world after Ivymount.”
