Ivymount continues partnership with George Mason University
The Ivymount School is excited to continue its partnership with George Mason University offering two cohort certificate programs in Applied Behavioral Analysis and Autism Education that the school will sponsor in partnership with George Mason University. Classes will be taught at Ivymount starting Fall 2010.

The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Certificate Program provides professional training for those responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring behavioral treatment programs for individuals with disabilities. It is also appropriate for those who wish to apply behavior analysis in their work, school or home. The Program is designed to prepare students to become competent practitioners of and contributors to the discipline of behavior analysis. This Program will prepare students for the Behavior Analyst Certification Exam.

The Certificate in Autism without Teacher Licensure is designed to train teachers and others who wish to implement instructional programs for people with autism. Participants will gain specialized knowledge and skills regarding the instruction of students with autism. This certificate is appropriate for special education teachers, counselors and others providing instruction to students with autism in a variety of educational settings.
